Monthly program open to all bird lovers.
Has 12.5 and 24 refractory telescope. There is a class room/resource center complex attached to the observatory. The classroom has an image processing system (IPS). This allows transmission of the image from the telescope to a video monitor in the classroom. Used by those using Youth Camp in the summer, astronomy students from UW-Eau Claire and the public.

This 135 acre park attracts both young and old to this portion of the Eau Claire River where it washes over mammoth outcroppings of granite rock. Here one can enjoy wading in the river and sunbathing on the sand during the summer months. Big Falls Park offers picnicking, canoeing, and fishing. Picnickers are offered scenic outings as they pass their leisure time among the granite outcroppings. Picnic tables and pit toilets are available.
Brunet Island State Park, on the Chippewa and Fisher rivers, offers more than 1,300 acres of scenic beauty, wildlife and recreational opportunities. Quiet lagoons and channels are excellent for canoeing and wildlife watching. The landscape in Chippewa County is a product of the most recent Ice Age. The rolling terrain carries a wide variety of forest types and is home to a multitude of wildlife.
