AIC is a resource for birthparents considering the adoption: professionals working with birth and adoptive parents and prospective adoptive families interested in infant: independent: international and special needs adoption. Services provided include confidential and toll-free information and referrals about the adoption process: licensed Wisconsin adoption agencies: rights and responsibilities of birthparents: and birthparent counselor referrals. AIC also provides training about adoption as an option for professionals who work with adolescents and adults: publicity to increase public awareness and improve public’s image of adoption as a positive option for a pregnancy. An on site Family Resource Center is open to the public and has books: magazines: tapes: videos and other print materials available.
